The thought may be that it was a sudden acute occurrence or that you are ‘just getting old’, but in truth, it is caused by the chronic, repetitive strain of sitting.
Sitting in chairs for long periods of time creates constant tension and compression on the low back, shortness in hip flexors and pain in the upper back, resulting in fascial dehydration and destabilization of the stabilizing muscles of the spine and core.
The attempts to rectify the problem with chair sitting with standing desks or extra fitness classes may show marginal improvement, yet neither addresses the chronic dehydration within the NeuroFascial System.
