Amanda Cizek is a MELT Master Teacher Trainer, NCBTMB certified massage therapist, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and an educator in the fields of fascial health, wellness, and the healing arts. She has been a licensed massage therapist in Connecticut since 2011 and is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. Amanda leads MELT Trainings across the United States, provides instructor mentoring, and teaches workshops and classes in MELT self-treatment techniques for groups and private training.


As one of six Master Trainers selected by MELT creator Sue Hitzmann to train other instructors to teach MELT, Amanda leads MELT Lab Trainings and will move on to lead 5-day Instructor Level 1 Trainings in 2017. She is known for her robust knowledge of anatomy and understanding of the human form, and ability to communicate complex connective tissue science in a way that is simple and digestible for learners of all backgrounds. As a singer and performer, she brings a magnetic stage presence to her delivery of the MELT curriculum, and loves empowering trainees to embrace fascial self-care techniques they can share with their clients.

Amanda holds a Bachelors degree in English and Theatre Arts from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. As a member of the training team for MELT University, she is both an expert on the MELT Method and highly knowledgeable in the areas of connective tissue science, anatomy, and physiology.

Along with teaching MELT special events, retreats, and trainings, Amanda is the owner of her business, Consistent Wellness, which incorporates MELT, massage therapy, and essential oils. She continues to fuel her love for performance as the lead singer of a popular local cover band in Connecticut.

I was in your workshop yesterday afternoon at Intensity (the English lady, other than Clair!). I just wanted to thank you very much as I have had my first good night’s sleep in a very long time! I’m a light sleeper, my husband snores, I’m going through menopause, etc! Suffice to say, it all adds up to a very restless and unrestful sleep! I couldn’t believe it when I woke up this morning and hadn’t been disturbed in the night! Wonderful!

“For months I have been following Amanda’s posts about the MELT Method. I can honestly say I understand very little about MELT. I was supposed to buy the book but haven’t had time. Frankly, it’s been such a miracle I don’t even care how it works. Sorry Amanda - good patient, bad student.

Three weeks ago, I called Amanda nearly in tears from severe and chronic neck pain. I have a series of back and neck injuries from a car accident over twenty years ago when I was (ahem...cough...cough) 12. Okay fine 21! I have been for massages, physical therapy, meditation and you name it to reduce my stress, weekly chiropractic for years. Nothing I mean NOTHING was working.

I begged Amanda to fit me into her schedule for a massage the next day and she suggested MELTing instead. When you are in that much pain, you will do anything so I said sure why not.
The next day I met her for a private MELT consultation. She took me through feeling where the pain was in my body and taught me about how to see for MYSELF where I was out of alignment. Then she took me through a series of gentle exercises to help me get out of (and more importantly stay out of) chronic pain. She sent me home with a short series of easy exercises to do twice a day for about 10 minutes each session.

When I got in my car to drive home, for the first time in years I felt like I was fully seated and comfortable in my car. I could easily turn my head to see traffic. And I was HAPPY driving for the first time in years. Ok YEARS! I used to LOVE to drive. Guess what? I love driving again!

I have MELTed twice a day for three weeks now. My pain has not come back. I feel a million times better and about ten years younger. I am not pissed off and cranky all of the time due to chronic pain, because I don’t have ANY PAIN! And the minute I get even a tinge of pain, I just MELT.

I feel like a freaking (insert non-PG word I would really use here) walking miracle. I am eternally grateful to Amanda for teaching me MELT, which is so not brain surgery people so you can totally do this.
